There are two datasets to choose from. The first dataset is called
Full and contains all 1:1 orthologs in our 6 species dataset. The resulting plot and table are the normalized read counts (using DESeq2’s median of ratios method applied to only conserved regions of the given orthologous gene) with male and female replicates combined. The sexes can be parsed from the exportable table that is generated. The second dataset is called
Chemosensory and contains a set of 371 1:1 orthologs from chemosensory-related gene family members. While these chemosenosry genes are also in the full dataset, their annoations have been a manually checked/corrected and the data is in transcripts per million (TPM) instead of counts.
Please see our paper for details and cite it if these data have been useful:
Evolution of chemosensory tissues and cells across ecologically diverse Drosophilids
Due to gene gains and losses that have occurred over these six species, in order to keep track of orthology/paralogy we have appended additinal identifiers (orthogroup IDs) to D. melanogaster FlyBase Symbols. For example, wash_OG0006176
.
To find ID for your genes of interest, please use the provided lookup
tables related to the given dataset (downloadable by clicking buttons below). These tables link FlyBase Symbols and FlyBase IDs to our orthogroup-appended FlyBase Symbol IDs that can be inputted here.
